Kukki Subrahmanyam:

The Kukke Subramanya temple is a famous tourist attraction in India that is known for the 5000 years old Kukke Subramanya temple on the banks of the Kumaradhara river. The temple is home to the Lord Subrahmanya, who is worshipped as a snake and pooja is offered to him, who is merged with the serpent king Vasuki.The epics narrate how the divine serpent Vasuki and other snakes took refuge under Lord Subrahmanya, in the caves. Hence, believed to be the ultimate solace for salvation from any sort of Naga Doshas. A ritual dance called Nagamandala is also performed here.

The temple history of Shri Kukke Subramanya is one of the seven holy places created by Saint Parashurama. Divine serpent Vasuki is believed to have taken refuge in Kukke Subramanya while being hunted by Garuda (legendary bird and official vehicle of Lord Vishnu). 








Lord Kumaraswamy and his brother Lord Ganesha are said to have killed demon rulers Tharaka and Shura Padmasurya in Kumara Parvatha near Kukke Subrahmanya. Post victory, Lord Kumaraswamy married the daughter of Indra- Devasena. All major gods attended the wedding event, bestowing divine powers to the place.

ThePopular rituals in this temple are Ashlesha Bali (prayers seeking protection from black snake) and Sarpa dosha parihara (removal of any curse of snake god) are two popular puja rituals offered at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple. These rituals can be booked online as well.

Pilgrims are allowed into the temple at 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM to pray to the god.all devotee’s are wear ethnic clothes only.Men will have to wear dhoti and Lungi only.

Dharmasthala is a tourist attraction where the god Shiva is worshipped as Shri Manjunatheswara Swamy. It is a small town in the Western Ghats, and the temples here are considered holy by millions of devotees from all over India.


The natural beauty in the Western Ghats is amazing, and these temples have been designed to take advantage of it. The remote location of these ghatti (caves) makes them ideal for meditation. Archaeological evidence shows that there were 12 caves in the past; today there are only five left. There is also an aqueduct water project built by the Chalukyas (Virupaksha and Pulakeshin I) during the 8th century AD.The aqueduct water project is one of the most important projects in Dharmasthala.




People will be allowed into the Shri Manjunatheshwara temple for Darshan and Pooja at 6:30 AM to 11 AM,12;15 PM to 2:30 PM and 5 PM to 8:30 PM. 

Abhisheka and Archana to the lord Shiva will be Conducted between 8:30 AM to 10:30AM.

Tulabhara seva will be conducted between 8 AM to 1Noon. 

Tulabhara seva is conducted on all days of the week and required materials are supplied by the temple on displaying the receipt for the seva. Tulabhara receipt issuing  will be fixed on special days.
